Leaps & Strides takes this seriously. Creating the right environment for tough conversations or a space to be quiet in. Bringing strategies into the heart of the school, showing every pupil that they matter.
L&S is proud to be supporting the amazing work The Grace Dear Trust is doing to improve vital mental health and wellbeing support for young people at schools across SW London and beyond. We have worked together on two design schemes which can be rolled out to multiple schools.

WELLNESS ROOMS
PROJECT BRIEF
Create a space for pupils to feel safe, supported and able to talk about their mental health.
HOLLYFIELD, HEATHFIELD, ESHER HIGH and TOLWORTH GIRLS SCHOOLS
L&S created a series of five wall designs, produced on printed vinyl. Each one depicts a scene which pupils can connect to, inspired by Grace Dear's love of beaches, dog walks and being on stage! The words are phrases that play a vital role in The Grace Dear Trust's communication.
The room feels nurturing - an environment which although it is within school, doesn't feel like a classroom. Encouraging opening up and feeling understood. It's a versatile design that can be adapted to each unique room, with different ceiling heights and layouts. Design once, print twice, three times, four...

Design a scheme to bring wellbeing and positive mental health messaging into the centre of the school day.

Mental health isn't a topic to tuck away and worry about. Bring it into the every day and make good mental health everybody's goal.
L&S worked with The Grace Dear Trust to create a series of 15 square panels which can be easily adapted for other areas. Content written in collaboration with the safeguarding and pastoral care teams and the pupils, ensuring it's spot on.
Maximise the impact and the budget. Versatility is the key.
